View Private Photobucket Photos

Looking to download pictures from a private Photobucket account? Follow these simple instructions:

  1. Download the Navnet program by clicking here (it's free!)
  2. Install Navnet
  3. Open Navnet and go to the "Fusker Generator" tab
  4. In "Target directory" type in either the photocuket account url, the album url or the username of the profile from which you're trying to download photos
  5. Click the "Start" button
  6. Navnet will search the album or account for a list of the most common photo formats (Picture103.jpg, DSC00100.jpg, CIMG_0009.jpg, … et) and display the images it finds.
  7. You can specify which photo formats you want Navnet to search for. For example, if you know that the account contains an image called DSC001.jpg and you want Navnet to automatically search for images ranging from DSC001.jpg to DSC999.jpg, simply type in DSC###.jpg in the "File Format" box. If you're not sure which image formats the album you're looking to crack contains, simply go with the default list provided by Navnet.
If you're looking for additional information on how to do this, this video should help:

Saving Private Flickr Photos - Spaceball.gif

If you've ever visited Flickr.com, you've probably noticed that the website may sometimes block you from downloading certain photos that users have set as private.

Right clicking to start the download will only get you a weird image file called spaceball.gif which, obviously isn't the file that you were looking for.

HOW TO GET AROUND IT:

Using Firefox

  1. Right click anywhere on the page where you image is located and select "View Page Info"
  2. Click on the "Media" tab
  3. Scroll through the various files, clicking on each one to open a preview in your window.
  4. Once you land on the picture you were looking for, simply click the "Save As" button and voila!
Using Other Browsers

  1. Right click on the page and select "View Source"
  2. Hit Control + F on your keyboard and type in "farm"
  3. Cycle through the results (it should be the third result) until you end up on a URL starting with farm1.static, like the following "http://farm1.static.flickr.com/36/87446951_d438474121.jpg"
  4. Copy that URL into a browser window and the picture should come up and be available for easy downloading
